Gore's Climate Cavalry
In 2006, carbonRational's founder, Andrew McKeon, was invited by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore to help spread the word about anthrogenic climate change at a grass roots level through Gore's organization, The Climate Project. After being trained personally by Mr. Gore, Mr. McKeon began to give presentations and slowly integrated themes from business theory and his own experience into the presentation, focusing on how sound management theory points towards addressing anthrogpogenic climate change at a systems level.
Mr. McKeon has been invited to speak on climate change by organizations as varied as the Wildlife Conservation Society, Sotheby's Institute, the architecture firms of Skidmore Owings & Merrill and FXFowle, NASA's Goddard Institute, Manhattan College, Baruch College, and the United Nations. Mr. McKeon recently presented a paper entitled "Out of the Crisis: Using Profound Knowledge to Address Climate Change" at the 14th Annual International Deming Symposium at Fordham University in New York City.
